Shipping and Returns

Orders are shipped via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground or via USPS unless specified otherwise in your order. If you are located in Alaska or Hawaii, or your bill to/ship to address is a PO Box, then shipping for your order will automatically be changed to US Postal Service, Priority Mail. Shipping Charges are calculated by UPS/USPS/FedEx.

International Orders
We ship knives and other products to USA and Canada only. does not ship internationally at this time, except in rare situations. However, most items can be shipped to APO / FPO addresses.

What does the acronym CONUS mean?
CONUS is short for Continental United States.  You may see this term used on our site in an advertisement or marketing message on  It refers to the 48 contiguous states - or the 50 states excluding Alaska and Hawaii.  Some promotions (such as 'Free Shipping') may bear the disclaimer "CONUS" which means that the promotion is being offered to only those orders that will be shipping to the 48 contiguous states.  Why would we exclude Alaska and Hawaii residents from a good deal? We offer various kinds of promotions throughout the year, in addition to Free Freight promotions, this way our customers in Hawaii and Alaska won't feel left out.  We simply can't run a profitable special designed to cover an average shipping cost of $8-12 per order, and offer it to people whose addresses require $25-40 per order.  

Return policy
Likewise, we accept returns but carve out special requirements to reduce the risk of being taken advantage of by a lenient return policy.  That said, we do not accept returns that are not in Brand New condition.  Returns must be received at our location in unused, brand new condition. customers must obtain a Return Authorization # before attempting to return any merchandise to Certain Manufacturers insist on defective or damaged merchandise being returned directly to them, so you need to check with us first. will not accept any returned merchandise without a valid RA#

Returns that are accepted are assessed a 15% restocking fee, deducted from the sale price of the item.

To obtain an RA#, email detailing your reason for return along with your phone number and the best time to reach you. A customer service representative will give you an RA# that must be clearly indicated on the outside of the return parcel, as well as on any paperwork. Merchandise return instructions will then be delivered via telephone or email. cannot be obligated to cancel orders that have already left the warehouse as doing so incurs additional charges that are unrecoverable.  If for some reason you wish to cancel or change your order after it has been submitted, please email your request AND call Existing Orders @ Tel: (866) 9-KNIVES immediately.  Your order will be updated if it has not left for shipment. will not be obligated to accept any returns of product submitted more than 30 days after shipment of such products to customer, excluding returns of defective product. RA#'s have a validity period of 30 days from the date of issue.

Orders that Do Not Qualify for Seller Protection
We reserve the right to cancel any order and refund it in full if payment processor does not extend to us their Seller Protection on your purchase.  For example, if PayPal acts as payment processor in the transaction, and PayPal decides to withdraw Seller Protection on a purchase, The Knife Warehouse reserves the right to cancel that purchase and refund it in full.  Usually, account holders can resolve the issue quickly with PayPal, and the order can be resubmitted by the customer without incident.

Restocking Fees
Non-defective merchandise returned to for any reason other than a miss-ship of product, will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.  Defective product is not subject to this fee. Product must be received by us in original condition and within 30 days of our shipping date, or it will not be accepted for return.
